This young couple wanted to update their cramped and dated kitchen in order to create a space that would feel airy and bright. We opened up a tiny dining nook and pulled the kitchen out into the entry to create an eat-in breakfast area. Floating shelves with a feature tile give a true “wow” effect to an otherwise simple shaker kitchen. We recreated the charming original curved portal doorways while also adding in fun modern details. The lighting was upgraded with decorative pieces as well as bright recessed lights. The kitchen is now the showpiece of their apartment.
